CEEPUS International Summer School What is smart in smart villages?

For the sixth year in a row, The Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek organized an international summer school. This years` topic was: What is smart in smart villages?

The international summer school was organized through the CEEPUS mobility program, and the Faculty had the opportunity to host 11 teachers, doctoral candidates and students from five partner universities and five countries: University of Banja Luka from Bosnia and Herzegovina, University of St. Kliment Ohridski from Bitola in North Macedonia, University of Pristina from Kosovo, University of Szeged from Hungary and University of National and World Economy from Sofia in Bulgaria.

As part of the summer school and in accordance with the topic, participants visited the smart village of Sikirevci where they learned about a functional local economy and heard and saw firsthand what a smart village should look like.

Students and teachers were introduced to the work of the Faculty and the University, presented their universities and their activities, participated in lectures and workshops related to the topic of smart villages and other topics in agroeconomics, and competed in a thematic pub quiz.
